Arrived in Buffalo
While I’m visiting family and friends, I will be staying with my parents and the internet here sucks - they use
Internet Explorer! Thank the gods for my cell phone.
What this means to you:
*less music posts (disappointing for me since I was getting to a great part in the book I’m reading on the history of punk rock).
*more “likes” and reblogs of your stuff
*more text...

England's Dreaming (the playlist)
For those of you playing along at home, I’m currently about half way through Jon Savage’s incredible book about the rise of punk rock: England’s Dreaming: Anarchy, Sex Pistols, Punk Rock, and Beyond. It is greatly influencing my music (and video and photo) posts and if you’re just catching up, or looking for a pretty good playlist, here’s what I posted so far:

About new Tumblr Followers:
When I get a new follower, I used to think:
please be cool
Now I think:
please be real
Also, that awkward moment when you check out a new follower’s Tumblr and, after scrolling on it for about 15 seconds, wonder: why did you follow me?

There Was Sun: Two-piece rock ramblin' →
oneafter909:
The two-piece (drums/guitar) is nothing new. The Flat Duo Jets did it in the 80s and I’m sure you can trace the roots much further back. The most successful is probably the White Stripes but the Black Keys have been giving them a run for their money lately. I guess it doesn’t even matter anymore…
And Wye Oak, too.
My Movie List
This weekend, I am going to begin a running list of the movies I watched in order to keep a personal account of my movie watching habits. I plan on writing a brief description/review of each and indicate which ones I am watching for the first time and which I am re-watching. Hopefully, this will prove an interesting exercise for myself and my followers. Enjoy. (* movies I have previously seen)
