1. One thing that went well - My low-level classes completed their whaling projects in anticipation of reading selections from Moby Dick. After six years of refining the project, gathering resources, and having students get familiar with technology like Google.docs, the project went off without a hitch. Weekend Goals (Redux)
Because it’s always good to have goals.
I’m having some lighting issues, so:
buy a new lamp for my bedroom (who knew that Kohl’s and Sears don’t carry lamps?)
figure out the track lighting in my kitchen (the lights are out, I think I have some bulbs, but damned if I know how they fit in the fixture - hilarious pics may ensue) (no hilarious pics but it’s not fixed either - new...

Finally Friday (vent post)
The month at school isn’t over, but so far:
I was given a schedule for next year with two of the worst possible classes and I lost a class that I pretty much created
they removed the water fountains outside my room for most of the month (but I got new ones yesterday)
one of my students was out for three days because he was stressed out about whether to trade in his BMW for a Mustang...
