“Hallowed Be Thy Name” by Iron Maiden (from Flight 666)

It took me a long time to recognize the brilliance of the song. When I first became an Iron Maiden fan, I was more attracted to the songs the rocked from beginning to end (“The Trooper”, “Run To the Hills” etc) and understood the need to have some change of pace in some of their songs. I figured it was cool from a theoretical standpoint, but only recently have I really begun to appreciate how perfectly this song is constructed. And how great it sounds live.
