It’s rather coincidental that this song came up today. It is essentially an elegy for singer Gord Downie’s nephew and, due to the personal nature of the song, the band did not play it live for fifteen years. This is one of the first live recordings once they began adding it to their set lists again. The crowd really seems to know the significance of the song and the honor of being part of the shared experience of its performance.
