“So What” by Miles Davis
(Music: Miles Davis, Album: Kind of Blue, Columbia 1959)

themesong: jazz/classical

Often when I’m working on something or reading, I’ll put some jazz on in the background. More often than not, it’s either John Coltrane or Miles Davis. Luckily, sometimes I get to put on Miles Davis AND John Coltrane because of a period of remarkable collaboration in the late 50s/early 60s that marked the pinnacle of jazz. So while I’m cutting up apples, making stuffing, and prepping other dishes, I’ll be listening to some Miles and Trane.

Miles. One name.

Such a ridiculously great song. Anyone who likes this (or posts it) must be as ridiculously great. Just sayin’.

The only thing that could make this better would be if it was a duet.

Miles Davis - So What

This makes me happy :)

If I was able to somehow figure out which one of the multitudes of great Miles Davis songs was my favorite, this would have a better than average chance of being it.

I guess that’s a vague and very non-committal way of saying that I really, really like this song.
